CONCEPT  |  This building was conceptualized as a main volume in cantilever supported by a single pillar. The hierarchy was determined through space functionality and geometry, the reading areas are contained in a volume that stands out from the main cube. This project was intended to create an innovative library able to cover the needs of young college students and local residents. The technology proposed is intended to provide solar protection to the building while generating solar power as an integral part of the curtain wall.
